For £80 per person, you expect a certain level of quality. Unfortunately, the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon falls short.
The selection of finger sandwiches is uninspired—cucumber and egg salad, really? The service is also lacking; I shouldn't have to ask for fresh plates and cutlery for dessert, or for fresh cups of tea. The desserts appeared to be hastily prepared, with some noticeably skewed.
The only positive aspect was the inclusion of a cake, which other places don't offer. However, I can easily think of three other venues in London that provide a better experience for the same price.
